BitScope Blade Quattro (Raspberry Pi x 4) |
Product InformationQuattro Pi is a BitScope Blade which can power and mount up to four Raspberry Pi. Quattro Pi can also power and mount the Raspberry Pi Display. It's perfect for building small dual processing redundant servers or stand-alone client/server solutions with one or two Raspberry Pi. Quattro Pi has a built-in 5V switch mode supply capable of powering four Raspberry Pi and up to sixteen peripheral devices (connected via the Raspberry Pi USB). It also has a 3-pin reversable auxiliary power headers on each slot to power other devices such as the Raspberry Pi Display or your own circuits. The HDMI and Audio ports are accessible from the Raspberry Pi in slot One so it can be used as a workstation with the addition of a monitor, keyboard and mouse. The second (or both) Raspberry Pi can be used as a headless server connected (via a switch) to the first Raspberry Pi or other computers on the network. It is also possible to network connect the Raspberry Pi using low cost WiFi dongles or direct CAT5 connection between the ethernet ports. Quattro Pi accepts supply voltages ranging from 9V to 48V making it compatible with 9V, 12V, 24V and 48V power sources and it can provide up to 3A continuously and 4A surge current for the Raspberry Pi and any connected devices such as hard disks or SSD, BitScopes and other USB peripherals. Quattro Pi can be used with simple plug packs, 12V batteries, unregulated power sources such as PV solar panels, low cost uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and even passive power over ethernet (PoE) solutions. External power is connected via an industry 2.5mm socket on the board. Alternatively power may be applied via the mounting tabs at the blade edges. The latter connection option makes it possible to mount Quattro Pi in Packs and Racks without power wiring. Insulating 3mm stand-offs are included for stand-alone desk or wall mounting and metalwork solutions are available for mounting Quattro Pi in 1RU of rack space. Individual power, reset and interrupt control is provided for each Raspberry Pi so they may be individually powered down, reset and/or replaced. This is convenient in racks and clusters allowing servicing without powering down the entire rack. Specifications
